The Andreas Courtyard
The other crosses could be found on the fence surrounding the KW88, on the lighthouse and on the clogs.
Take a look in the courtyard to see the fishermen’s houses.
Although you can’t see it right away, these houses were only built in the 1950s.
Due to the construction of the Atlantic Wall, a 200-meter wide strip along the coast was demolished by the Germans during the Second World War.
As a result, a large part of the centre with typical, historic buildings has unfortunately disappeared.
Take the other exit of the courtyard, which leads to the Andreas square.
